Carlos Bernal Jr.

Carlos Bernal is an active Army Captain with 20 years of military service and combat leadership experience in Iraq. Currently pursuing his Master of Social Work, his focus includes trauma-informed care, moral injury, and bereavement support. After the passing of his daughter, he founded An Offering of the Heart to provide financial and emotional support to grieving families. Carlos brings a rare blend of operational leadership and compassionate advocacy to the board, driven by a commitment to honor every child’s memory through tangible, systemic change.
