Quick moments of remembrance, event highlights, and gentle encouragement — follow along and share the love in real time.
On the 21st of October 2025 we went back to Seattle Children’s, the place where we fought for our daughter’s life for six and a half years. The place that broke us, built us, and taught us what real love and real advocacy look like.
Four families were asked to get up in front of a big crowd in the auditorium and be vulnerable. To talk about the hardest chapters of our lives. It was an honor to stand there with them. It was an honor to speak truth in a room full of parents, staff, and people who understand the weight of this fight.
For me and my wife, this wasn’t just a “presentation.” This was our daughter’s story.
This was Alana Corazón Bernal.
A little girl who fought every single day.
A little girl whose strength humbled grown men and women.
A little girl who pushed me to be better, louder, more relentless.
A little girl who changed every part of who I am.
She taught us what it means to show up, no matter how tired, how afraid, or how beaten down we were. She gave us purpose. She still does. Everything we’re building now, An Offering of the Heart, the work we’re doing for grieving families, the mission to honor children like her, it’s all because her life mattered that damn much.
Telling her story is never easy. It hits every nerve. But it’s necessary. Because families are still walking into that hospital today carrying the same fear we carried. And they deserve support, respect, and real advocacy.
Being up there today wasn’t about being strong. It was about being honest. It was about honoring our daughter and every kid who’s ever had to fight inside those walls.
We’ll keep showing up.
We’ll keep speaking up.
We’ll keep fighting for families because that’s what Alana taught us to do.
Her legacy lives through us.
And we’ll carry her with us, every step, every day.
Always. We love you so much Mama.
✨ Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Our family had the honor of meeting the Seattle Mariners’ bullpen coach at T-Mobile Park, and it was more than just baseball it was about connection, kindness, and the power of community. 💙
Every step forward, every hand extended, and every story shared brings us closer to healing hearts together. Thank you to the Mariners for opening your field and your hearts to families like ours. ⚾❤️
Today was powerful, raw, and life-changing.
We celebrated the birthdays of my incredible wife and our beloved daughter, Alana Corazon Bernal, unveiling her name permanently at Seattle Children’s Hospital. This isn’t just a plaque. It’s Alana’s fierce spirit and love, forever etched in a place deeply meaningful to our family. Her legacy stands as a beacon of strength and comfort to all families walking similar paths.
Launching our nonprofit, “An Offering of the Heart,” transforms our pain into relentless compassion. Inspired deeply by the extraordinary support from “Raise for Rowyn,” our mission is to provide unwavering love and empathy to families enduring unimaginable grief, just as they did for us.
Above all, we give glory to God and Alana, whose enduring spirit guides us daily.
None of this would be possible without my wife’s strength, grace, and unconditional love. Alana’s legacy continues to inspire every step we take.
