Alana Corazon Bernal
June 11 2018 to December 18 2024
From her first breath, Alana Corazon Bernal shone with Heaven’s light, fearfully and wonderfully made, clothed in the armor of a warrior. Born with pulmonary atresia with intact ventricular septum, her life began as a battle fought with courage, grace, and joy, sustained by the breath of God. In faith, her parents left their home in Hawaii for Washington, trusting the Lord to guide each step to the compassionate care at Seattle Children’s Hospital, where her journey of strength and miracles unfolded.
The road was hard, heart surgeries, catheterizations, and countless trials, but Alana never wavered. Her eyes carried Heaven’s peace, and her steady words, “I’m okay,” comforted everyone around her. God blessed her with a miraculous heart transplant, a gift that gave her more time to dance to favorite songs, cuddle beloved pets, and wrap her arms around Mom and Dad with a love that mirrored the heart of Christ.
Though her time was brief, Alana’s life was a masterpiece of unconditional love, holy resilience, and unwavering courage. She taught us to live with grace, to see beauty in every fleeting moment, and to hold tightly to one another. Now our warrior rests in the arms of Jesus, free from pain, crowned with glory. While her words echo in our hearts: she is more than okay; she is whole, radiant, and home.
